Magic Vibes…via Distance Healing

Hello lovely people!

So it’s been an interesting week with the moon playing havoc with everyone’s energy and moods. Someone very close to me was poorly at the weekend. He’s had this cold that’s been flying around and had been coughing all week. He’d been to the hospital with severe back pain and there wasn’t much they could do as his ribs were bruised due to the tightness in his muscles contracting from coughing so much. I asked him if I could send some healing and he said yes. So as he lay with his eyes closed just relaxing at home, I connected to his energy from where I was and started sending him distance healing. Reiki can be given even when the person isn’t present and it works better if you have their permission because they are consenting to receiving healing.

During the session, I could feel tension in his diaphragm. The energy felt heavy and stagnant. I could feel it more on the left hand side and I felt like my hands wanted to go deep inside the diaphragm and stretch out the spine. As I worked, I could feel the energy block loosen and start moving. It felt like the energy wanted to move downwards and so I followed it down, pulling away the heaviness. The energy also felt like it wanted to expand and stretch the diaphragm. I worked for about 15 minutes and afterwards rang him to tell him what I felt.

He said the pain had been worse on the left, and that it did feel like it was so deep inside that it couldn’t be eased with just normal stretches. I suggested some breathing exercises as that is a good way to stretch your spine in a very subtle way. His pain started to ease and I have been sending regular healing bursts of energy to help with this.

For me, distance healing is something that I’m happy to send for free to anyone who needs it. For obvious reasons, I can’t feed back to individuals but I can send you the healing and would love to know what you felt during the session. I keep a list of people who have asked me to send healing and I send energy to all of them. This isn’t a substitute for a paid session, rather a energy burst that you can download every week that will support you. I send distance healing on a Monday evening with the intention that whoever has asked for it will receive it when they make the intention to download it.

Reiki is universal life force energy (Ki/Chi/Prana) which is cultivated and channelled for the purpose of healing either oneself or others. If you believe we all came from the same source, then we are all connected by that same force that created us whatever you believe that force to be. Reiki works through this connection. It is scientifically proven that particles have the ability to influence what is around them, and we are made of these particles. Never underestimate your own power!

Reiki energy can be sent to anyone, anywhere and at any time. Energy follows intent. This is why your thought process is so important. Positive thoughts, positive energy as it follows the intent and the same the other way around. I plan to do a blog and perhaps also a workshop on the power of thoughts, but let’s not digress!

Getting back to Reiki. There are a number of ways that Reiki can be used. There are no time or space boundaries with healing energy which means that we can get really creative in the way that we use it. What does that mean?

It means that you can send healing to people for them to receive when they are ready like I did with my friend. I could send it now for you to receive at your interview next week if that was the intention. I could send it back to myself as a child to heal old wounds and traumas that are still affecting me. I could send it to myself to receive when I go to sleep tonight. I could send it across the world to everyone who needs it. It’s pretty phenomenal how it works, and if you’ve learnt Reiki you can do this yourself.

I always say if its an individual, it’s always good to ask if you can send healing so that they are open and receptive to it. I also send healing when I hear things on the news about things that happen. Obviously, I can’t get their permission but I like to think of it as sending love where its needed.

I hope I’ve sparked your curiosity enough for you to want to try it! I would love to hear your feedback. Inspire me…

Ok…so I went to the mosque one Sunday, a while back. During this particular Islamic month, there are gatherings at the mosque as we commemorate those who have died in battle for our faith to survive. I used to go every day for the ten days of commemoration and volunteer to help prepare the food to give away. I always felt a sense of oneness with the women there as we helped each other, greeted each other with smiles and hugs and worked tirelessly to serve. The women would gather and recite poetry in Urdu that told the story of the battles. I didn’t understand much of what they were saying, but there was something in the rhythmic singing, the energy of words that stirred something in me. At the end, we would all say a prayer together and I left feeling uplifted with a sense that my faith had been deepened as I said prayers for myself, my loved ones and those I’d never met but knew were struggling.

This year, I went to the same gathering and they’d changed the format somewhat. There was no recitation of the poem, instead there was a lecture which I assumed would be about helping us to understand the words of the poem that we’d heard in previous years. The lecture conveyed some of this, but then became something else and this is why I’m moved to write these words.

When I left, I found myself comparing the experiences and it really made me think. In the old days, I’d understand very little, feel the love and energy and leave uplifted. On Sunday, I understood everything, began to question and left feeling less than inspired by the energy in the room. I draw the conclusion that love is a better teacher than fear and I felt it important to write these words as a result.

When I started learning Reiki, one of the first things I noticed was that my prayers became deeper. I started to become more aware of my connection to God and my connection to Faith. It helped me to go deeper in to myself and see my Creator moving through me. It made me aware of myself. It made me aware of Love. I understood that I was created by Love, with Love, and I came here to give Love. This love is what gives me the passion and motivation to gather more knowledge, go deeper in to my connection and teach others to explore this connection with themselves.

Having had a traditional Islamic upbringing, I wish I had been taught about spirituality and the nature of my connection to my Creator. As I sat listening to the lecture, I looked around the room at mostly blank faces. I was thinking about what was missing from the words I was hearing. I realised that it was love. I’ve been thinking about ways to reach different communities, and it felt like there was a real opportunity here to explore.

For me, love inspires. Love is infectious. Love makes people want to be a part of something bigger. Love is forgiveness. Love doesn’t judge. What I was hearing didn’t resonate and it made me think. When we express our faith, when we say our prayers or meditate, it is a state of giving. When you give freely, it comes from a place of Love. When you express it because you feel obligation, it changes the energy of what you give and takes away the blessing and the Love.

The lesson for me was deeper here though. I thank and honour the experience for teaching my that my way is unique to me. I don’t follow a mass because I have what I need within me, and I value and respect the traditions and culture that exist. I want to explore this idea of spirituality and faith. I teach and heal people from all faiths, and the more I do this, the more I learn that people will come to accept less traditional methods of healing and teaching if it helps them to get to where they want to be. Ultimately, what people seek is inner peace and I am learning that just being this peace is what draws people to me. I’m not fussed about religion and rules and details. I just want to give in a way that people understand, and the only way to do this is with love.

My way is love, and it is what feels right for me. The mission is to transcend across all the barriers that have been built for us. If we can serve and we can help, we are in a good place. We are all the same in essence, and we are all part of the One creator.

I’d like to know what you think about religion and spirituality. Have you done Reiki, and how has this changed your experience? I’d love to hear from you.

Love and Light,

Hafsa xx

What are you waiting for?

Hello beautiful souls,

Today, I want to talk about the idea of change and how it is so damn disruptive!! I say this because for most of my clients, they will think about it for ages before actually booking in for a session. Nobody comes before they are ready, but I thought some words on this might be of some support for those of you who are considering making changes in your life.

The first thing that’ll happen is you’ll have the idea. This either arrives on its own or as a result of the situations around you. At that point you know there is something you need to do for yourself. Don’t for a second think that you are the only one not acting on your good ideas. We all have this going on. We want to wait until it feels right, or we want to wait until we are ready and this is fair enough. Personally, it takes me a while to process but when I take the step its usually a big one. All or nothing. Not everyone is the same though. Sometimes making a small move starts the process. A journey of a thousand miles starts with one step.

So now let’s say that you think you need some healing of some description – this is the solution that you want to seek. Usually what happens is that you think of all the things you have to get done first.  This is great, because you end up doing a lot in the process of avoiding the one thing you know you need is a priority. I think what happens is that we busy ourselves with helping other people. I’m guilty of this myself. To be fair, it usually makes us feel more drained. At this point we realise that although helping others helps to fill us up, we need to do more for ourselves.

“If only I had time.” There is always time. When you are constantly giving time and energy to others, it can feel like there’s no space for you so even if you did want to go ahead and do it, it would be a lot of hassle to move everything around. I always suggest to clients to make a date with themselves. It doesn’t have to be a whole day. Just a couple of hours in the diary, arranged in advance that sets out a commitment for some time with yourself. A good friend of mine calls this “PQT” or personal quality time. I know recently I’ve felt like I’ve been giving so much and this was the one thing that was missing.

When you stop and think about how kind you are to yourself, you realise how much you neglect your own needs in the process of keeping life rolling. It doesn’t have to be like this. I’m learning this for myself now and I’m finding that it’s quite a discipline! It can be challenging, but for me I know that my health, well-being and happiness is my priority. It is also something that only I can take responsibility for. When you choose to give yourself something, you’re saying that you are just as important as everyone you care for.

I think this world makes us think that we are being selfish if we give ourselves a little. The way I see it, the more I give myself, the better I feel and the more I can give to those around me.

When I reflect on things, especially when I avoid things it’s because it means I need to change something. So its not that I don’t want to help myself, of course I do. It’s because a lot needs to change for me to take the time to do these things. Then I realise that I’ve set it up that way and it’s the change that presents the obstacle not anything else. We love to build patterns around us, little walls around the things that are familiar that protect us from anything that needs changing.

I know how scary it is to rock the boat. I guess that’s what I’m saying to you. That one small step can lead you on a journey of a thousand steps. Don’t focus on that, just focus on the one step at a time. Be GOOD to yourself, do lovely things for you, buy yourself something nice, indulge in your favourite food. Whatever it is that makes you feel selfish, that’s the thing you need to be doing to get over that feeling.

You’ll realise giving to yourself feels good, and balance that with how much you give to others and the world will feel very different. I’m here when you’re ready. Details of all my courses and treatments can be found on my website www.healingworksreiki.com

A New Years Revolution…

Hello beautiful souls,

I am a woman on a mission! Those of you who follow me on social media will know that I am working really hard and I’m on a mission to help as many people as I can. There’s been some really intense treatments in the healing room, and with clients coming back for repeat sessions, I can see the positive difference my sessions are making for people. I’ve seen so many clients and students really boosted in confidence and empowered to take charge of their own lives, and for me that’s why I do what I do. I absolutely love it!

January can be a s*** time for people. You make all these resolutions and then you fall down trying to achieve the unrealistic goals you’ve set yourself or the hype dies down and you’re stuck doing things you don’t really want to so you just go bleugh and give up.  This year, I’ve decided to do away with the resolutions, and create a revolution!

I’m running a course in February (details on link below) which is a series of 4 meditation workshops. The idea is to get people to start creating their own personal revolutions and start changing their lives from the inside out.

The more I talk to people, the more I hear that people think meditation is this wierd mystical thing that happens. It is for hippies, it’s not for me, I don’t have time, I’m just not very good at it, I can’t concentrate. Rubbish!

You were born to do this, and I’m going to show you how! The meditation course that I am running is over four weeks on a Thursday and you have the option of a morning or an evening session.

The first week we will look at the basics of meditation, the practical stuff, how to get started and we learn grounding techniques as it’s an important part of the practice.

Week two will be looking at mindfulness and breathing. There’s a lot written about mindfulness, and in this session we will explore what the idea of being in the present moment means and learn ways of incorporating this in to your life.

Week three we will learn all about chakras and how to balance your own energy. This is useful to know so that you can keep yourself in balance, and sense when you need extra help.

The final week will be exploring the idea of journeying through meditation and how this can be used to support your own healing.

The idea is that together we change our mindsets, and that way we have tools to help us get through life and stay positive. If you’re interested, please do give me a call to discuss. If you’ve got any questions, please give me a call. Booking details are on the website with payment options.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Love and light,

Hafsa xx
